Agronomist Consults
Our team of Agronomists at centres are trained in understanding the issues faced by farmers through the crop cycle. They play an important role in helping farmers in overcoming their problems by providing them with implementable and cost effective solutions in order to increase yield and increase productivity. Our team of Agronomists connect with the farmers in the field by doing daily field visits. Every centre covers approximately a 15 km wide area through physical visits and farmer connect programs. Farmer connect programs include Goshtis (large scale farmer announcements), village connects through motorcycle rally’s and one on one farmer visits.
Pre & Post Emergence Advice
The steps for outreach taken by our team of Agronomists ensures that they are available to the local farmer through the crop cycle. This includes advice on inputs required both at the Pre and Post Emergence stages. Pre emergence advice includes soil preparation for the next crop cycle and Post emergence covers all sorts of diseases that may impact the growth and therefore output of the farmer.
Kishan Ghosties
KISAN GHOSTHIES (FARMERS’ MEETINGS) will be organized at every Verde Agrotech location wherein experts from the relevant fields brief farmers on crop specific new practices and address crop related problems being faced by farmers with a view not only to maximizing the yield but also produce disease produce. An event calendar should be drawn every year in advance for each centre which is well publicized. Farming community are sent reminders before the event through SMSs & other means. Even special seminars are organized on the topics of interest suggested by farmers.
Product Specific Promotional activities
Under promotional activities, we suggest farmers for various new technologies to enhance the crop productivity by providing special crop packages, Line sowing and Soil testing with the Government collaboration. The promotion of soluble fertilizer is a very remarkable activity for the farmers where the economic gain by the crop is high as compared to the bulk/soil fertilizer.
Spray Franchise
Spray franchise to help overcome the problem of labour for farmer to save the crop from insect pest. These spray franchisees will be educated (near about junior High School) but unemployed boys from the Local villages and trained by specialized trainers not only in crop specific but also based on utilization of products, by this we will solve not only the labour problem but also provide employment.
Farmer Helpline*
Regular visit of Agronomist to farmer’s fields helps in addressing problems in crop on the spot, followed by communication through SMSs in this regard. Further HELPLINE operating from Company's HO should be in place to render expert advice to farmers. The company will introduce voice based SMSs to farming community in their local dialect from the call centre. The network reflects the Company's belief that technology can and must be harnessed to solve India's social and economic problems.
